    The Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) code is one of the most robust and modern ways to identify any international company involved in financial transactions. The purpose of the LEI code is to assist in monitoring and measuring systemic risk, supporting cheaper compliance with regulatory reporting requirements. G20 countries have approved the use of LEI codes. There is no need for individuals to obtain an LEI code. No LEI means no trading.
